Arie L. Spangler graduated from Pepperdine University in 1998 with a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science. While at Pepperdine, Ms. Spangler served as the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, studied in Florence, Italy and interned for Premiere Magazine in Los Angeles and U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer in Washington, D.C. After graduating from Pepperdine, Ms. Spangler pursued a career in public relations at Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger in Los Angeles and The Barry Group in Santa Monica.
Ms. Spangler received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003 and was admitted to the California Bar in December of the same year. While in law school, Ms. Spangler was a member of the Women's Law Caucus and studied at the USD Institute of International and Comparative Law in Barcelona, Spain and London, England. In 2002, Ms. Spangler attended the Pepperdine University School of Law Institute for Dispute Resolution.
As a law student, she clerked for the Law Offices of Andrew Kurz in Cardiff-by-the-Sea and Callahan, McCune & Willis, APC in San Diego. Shortly after gaining admission to the Bar, Ms. Spangler practiced errors & omissions insurance defense, commercial and personal injury litigation in Los Angeles.
Ms. Spangler joined Kring & Chung, LLP in 2004, where her practice focuses on general business and insurance defense litigation, including multi-party construction defect matters, personal injury, contract and property disputes. Ms Spangler handles contracts, mechanic's liens and all phases of civil litigation work, including depositions, mediations, pre-trial and trial motions and submissions. She is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the Central District of the United States District Court.
