Orange County officials have taken action, effective immediately, banning all public and private gatherings beyond those of a single household in response to the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Issued by County health officer Dr. Nicole Quick, the Order prohibits “all public and private gatherings of any number of people, including at places of work, occurring outside all single household or living space.”
Importantly, and differing from yesterday’s similar City and County of San Francisco’s Shelter in Place Order, this Order does not carve out an exception for construction or infrastructure other than healthcare infrastructure.
The Order shall remain effective until March 31, 2020 although stay tuned for updates and or extensions. Kring & Chung, LLP will keep a close eye on state and federal regulations, laws, and orders.
