Avery
E. Dority is an associate attorney in the Sacramento office
of Kring & Chung. He is an experienced litigator, having
conducted jury trials in both State and Federal Court. His
practice encompasses all aspects of litigation, including defense
of civil rights claims, employment law, public entity liability,
insurance defense, as well as general negligence/personal injury
claims.
Mr. Dority was born in the
small town of Phenix City, AL. In 1991, he earned a B.S. in
Business Administration, with a minor
in Economics, from St. Mary's College of California in Moraga,
CA. He graduated from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School
of Law in 1998.
While attending McGeorge, he
served as a Certified Law Clerk in the Misdemeanor Unit for
the U.S. Attorney's Office in Sacramento,
CA, where he prosecuted misdemeanor crimes in the U.S. District
Court, Eastern District of California. Following graduation,
he joined the law firm of Porter, Scott, Weiberg & Delehant.
In October 2003, he joined the Law Offices of Mason & Thomas
as an associate attorney, until he joined our firm in March
2005.
Mr Dority is admitted to practice
in all Courts of the State of California, the Eastern District,
Central District and Northern
District of the U.S. District Courts of California, and the
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Dority is
a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, American
Bar Association, and Federal Bar Association.
Mr. Dority is
an avid runner, skier, and tennis player. He and his wife,
Heather, reside in the newly formed city
of Elk Grove, CA.
