After
graduating from St. Michael's College with a degree in
Economics and Political
Science in 1993, Mr. Bell attended the State University of New York at
Buffalo School of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree
in 1996. For seven years, Mr. Bell was an senior associate with
the law firm of Lorber, Beddoe & Pengilly
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Bell concentrated his practice
on representation of developers and general contractors in
complex construction defect cases. As the handling attorney
for these files, Mr. Bell was responsible for all aspects
of these complex cases including drafting pleadings and motions,
retention of experts, written discovery and depositions as
well as appearances at mediations, mandatory settlement conferences
and trial. Mr. Bell joined in
early 2005 and continued his representation of developers
and general contractors across the state of Nevada and expanded
his practice to include representation of subcontractors.
In
addition to complex construction defect litigation.
Mr. Bell handles
a variety of other matters for his clients, including drafting/revising subcontract
agreements, evaluating and advising on insurance needs and policies, discrimination
and access complaints filed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development
(HUD), mechanic's lien claims, personal injury claims and general commercial
litigation.
Mr.
Bell is licensed to practice law in Nevada and New York.
