Not all hospitals are created equal when it comes to treating heart attack victims. In fact, some Sacramento area hospitals lack the basic diagnositc equipment to figure out exactly what's going on when a cardiac patient is brought into the ER. They try to stabilize the patient, then transfer them to a cardiac center. One local man is trying to improve the process -- Shane Singh, a Sacramento lawyer whose father, Sam Singh, died last month after spending three years in a coma following a heart attack. Shane is working with local officials to try and change the protocols about where emergency crews take cardiac patients.
