The Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OC KABA) elected Kring & Chung, LLP's Kenneth Chung, as the new president. Mr. Chung will take over the position beginning July 1, 2006 and will oversee OC KABA, the bar association that was founded in November 2005. Mr. Chung is the managing partner for Kring & Chung, LLP a full service law firm based in Irvine, CA with outside offices located in Sacramento, San Diego, Ontario, Chino and Las Vegas, NV.

Mr. Chung is experienced in both business litigation and a variety of business transactions. His experience includes corporate, real estate, contract, and intellectual property and employment issues. Mr. Chung counsels and represents a variety of businesses including prestigious multi-national corporations, publicly traded companies and emerging private businesses. He is proficient in negotiating and drafting a variety of business agreements including business alliance agreements, real estate contracts, employment and other business contracts.

Mr. Chung is also one of the founders of OC KABA, which was established to promote networking among minority attorneys, provide more effective legal counsel to the local Orange County community in California, to serve the Korean-American community's legal needs with pro bono services, to promote the appointment of Korean judges, and to assist law students in making the transitions into full-time law practice. OC KABA organized the 1st Annual Community Law School on April 29, 2006 at the Hyatt, Garden Grove, CA. The event hosted over 150 Korean Americans and consisted of seminars throughout the day covering various legal topics. Special guests included the Honorable Mark Kim, Irvine Councilman Dr. Steven Choi, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas, and Garden Grove Mayor, William J. Dalton.
