Fall Planting Day at Olive Crest Academy
On October 13, 2016, Olive Crest Academy students planted their classroom gardens for the Fall season. Garden themes consisted of an art garden, vegetable garden, herb garden, pollinator garden and many more! Kring & Chung's involvement in OCA's therapeutic garden program began in April 2016. Since then, the children have been utilizing what they have grown and are benefiting from taking care of their gardens. While working in the therapeutic school garden and learning about the life cycle of plants, students are gaining an understanding of nurturing, problem solving, learning from mistakes, personal responsibility, and compassion.
